These kind of games don’t last forever. Say I brought a game of the XBLA and then deleted it a few years later to get some more HDD space back. Now, 20-30 years on chances are that all the servers that hosted XBLA content would be shut down and I will never be able to re-download that game, ever. Now if the game was on physical media I’ll still be able to play it. Just the same way I’m still able to play Sonic 1 and 2 on my Megadrive. Great games :]
