What’s what I’m talkin about…I LOVED the curse of monkey island. I can’t play this game in 3D at all…

MAN this game must have been marketed badly. I hadn’t even heard anything of its release. You can’t buy it anywhere other than wiiware / from them or lucklily from steam. ONLY BY CHANCE I found this. gonna go buy it now so excited. Just can’t believe how many people will miss out if they don;t know about it!
@Evilidiot1 Well, the cool thing is that you choose (most of) what Guybrush says, so if it starts to get annoying, it’s usually your fault.

Well, the Special Edition Guybrush IS younger.
Are you kidding me? For the first time in playing the series (and yes, I’ve been through them all), I really connected to the characters. They have actual EXPRESSIONS on their faces which are not only comic but slightly endearing. Also, Guybrush is kind of cute.
Fucking A mate. There is no emotion in the faces of the characters.
Let’s hope they actually listen to fans for the next game and bring back the “Curse of…” graphics
I just can’t play Monkey Island in 3D. It’s like watching “Akira” made by Pixar.
They should have done it with high definition cartoons

@EyeoftheU Have you actually played the original SOMI? The haircut was exactly as it should have been so I don’t know why it bugged you.
BTW: The Tales version of Guybrush have a much better haircut than the Special Edition Guybrush.
Do not get me wrong, I loved the Special Edition, but that haircut really bugged me.

Try to take a look at one of the video walkthroughs out there. This video lacks details like fog and hair blowing in the wind.

. I’m not complaining about the script or the story, just the graphics. In terms of storyline, this one is more like an MI game than others. I just hate these blocky looking graphics. I’m sure Ron agreed to them too, but for shame on him. The remake of MI1 has way cooler graphics than this game, because they actually invoke the Caribbean. Blocky, deformed Guybrush does not!
Are you aware that Ron Gilbert was consulted when Tales was in development, and he gave everything his approval?
I’ve never played the new one, but this looks gay. I hate the 3d version (escape is it?). The Curse of monkey Island was perfect, then they ruined it.

Some people will be fans of this game, that’s good, but as someone who has been playing the series since they were 7 years old, this is just NOT a MI game to me. The 4th one wasn’t either

Agree, the 3d gfx totaly sux. and the magic of the game is somehow gone…
