With the announcement that Valve would bring its line-up of games and its Steam download service to the Mac, there seems to be a resurgance of interest in releasing games for Apple’s machines. The truth is that Apple doesn’t seem to have much interest in gaming on their Macs and laptops (gaming for the iPhone and iPod touch is another matter) but if Steam is successful on the Mac that could change.
Right at the moment the big game on the Computer is Battlefield Bad Company 2. The Universal Gaming Database web site contacted developer Digital Illusions to see if they had any plans to port their first person shooter for Apple’s machines. The encouraging response was, “We’re currently investigating the possibility of making BFBC2 available on Mac.”
