Of course we are talking about Rollercoaster Tycoon, the amusement park sim game that was first released by the reclusive UK developer Chris Sawyer in 1999.

There hasn’t been a new title in the series since 2004 when Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 was released by Atari. However a recent message board post by an Atari team members on the publisher’s message boards states, “We are thinking hard about the next Rollercoaster Tycoon game on Computer.” The publisher is soliciting fan ideas for the game’s feature set. There’s no word on who might be developing the game or when it might be released.

The saga of failed game developer Realtime Worlds is apparently taking another turn. Develop reports through unnamed sources that the bankrupt developer has found a buyer for its social gaming-city simulation title Project MyWorld. The game was first announced just a few weeks before the developer went into administration in August. The buyer is said to be an US-based company but no further info on the interested party was reported. It’s also not known if the new buyer will keep the 23 developers who are currently working on the game.

In the meantime, Realtime Worlds’ higher profile game, the FPS MMO All Points Bulletin, is still looking for a buyer, according to the article. Despite the administrator saying that the game has about 130,000 registered players there doesn’t seem to be as much interest from potential buys.

One of the first games we ever covered on Freeware Friday was the incredibly detailed Dwarf Fortress. Despite having been absent for a while, we’ve still been keeping track of the best freeware games around, and one of them is a game which acts almost as a tribute to Dwarf Fortress‘ incredible complexity. Goblin Camp may appear to be a clone, but it’s much more simple. It takes the incredible simulation of Dwarf Fortress and distills it to its core essence, removing a lot of the barriers to entry that have built up in eight years of development. Plus, and this is a big plus, the interface is much better!

Publisher Paradox Interactive made a number of new game announcements today as part of its Gamescom visit and one of them was for Cities In Motion, a city sim-style game but with the emphasis on transportation. The game, developed by Colossal Order, lets players evolve a city and its transportation needs from 1920 to 2020.

Players take on the role of an owner of a transport company who tried to create a public transportation system for his or her city. Buses, trains, subways and more can be constructed and the goal is to make as much money as possible while also serving the cities needs. The game has a 12 mission campaign more or a free form sandbox mode. You can either construct your own cities with over 100 buildings or use one of the four that have been made already and are based on real cities like Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Cities in Motion is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.

Then perhaps Reload: Target Down is the game you have been looking for.

Big Download spotted a listing for the upcoming Computer game on Amazon.com today and confirmed its existence with a PR rep for the game’s publisher Mastiff. Reload: Tango Down will be all about shooting licensed guns, both civilian and military, at non-living targets. You will be able to shoot in a target range to a police “shoot box” and even in moving vehicles. Mastiff’s PR head told us that the better you shoot at the targets the more weapons and equipment you can unlock in the game. (such as scopes, goggles and others). The game is currently scheduled for a late October release date.
